Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Care

About the role

The NHS Lanarkshire team is seeking a Registered Nurse to join an ambulatory care setting on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will assess patient needs, develop and implement care programmes, and ensure high‑quality delivery of services.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate patient care programmes.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, relatives and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Adhere to national and local policies, legislation, procedures and standards.
• Provide care without direct supervision and, when required, demonstrate procedures to junior staff and students.
• Support the ward, directorate and division by following defined protocols.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
• Ability to work independently and use own initiative.
• Strong team‑working, listening and interpersonal skills.
• Experience communicating effectively with patients, families and colleagues.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment.
• Care planning and programme evaluation.
