Registered Nurse – Community & Rehab Ward

About the role

The Royal Northern Infirmary is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join its community and rehabilitation ward in Inverness. You will care for older adults transitioning from acute admission to home, including patients admitted directly from the community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality nursing care on a 24/7 community/rehab ward.
• Conduct and support complex discharge assessments and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in discharge planning meetings and ensure safe patient transitions.
• Provide care for community access beds, supporting patients admitted directly from the community.
• Work unsocial hours, including nights, weekends and public holidays, as required.

Required profile

• Registered with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Commitment to a rehabilitation‑focused approach to patient care.
• Ability to manage complex discharge processes and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and public holidays.
