Registered Nurse – General Outpatients

About the role

Join the Outpatients team at NHS Lanarkshire as a Registered Nurse delivering high‑quality care to general outpatients. You will assess patient needs, develop and evaluate care programmes, and work autonomously while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing support and administer medications via the Hepma system to patients in the Discharge Lounge.
• Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate individual programmes of care.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, relatives and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Apply and adhere to all relevant national and local policies, legislation, procedures and standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
• At least 18 months of post‑registration experience.
• Strong team‑working ability and initiative.
• Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.

Required skills

• Medication administration using Hepma.
• Patient assessment and care planning.
