Registered Nurse – Oncology

About the role

Join NHS Lanarkshire as an Oncology Registered Nurse and become part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality cancer care. You will assess patient needs, develop and evaluate care programmes, and ensure safe, compassionate treatment without direct supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate patient care programmes in oncology.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Apply and adhere to national and local policies, legislation, procedures and PREP guidelines.
• Supervise and demonstrate procedures to registered, unregistered staff and student nurses as required.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
• Strong team‑working ability and capacity to work independently.
• Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary environment.
