Senior Pharmacy Technician – Medicines Supply & Quality

About the role

The NHS Fife Pharmacy & Medicines Service is seeking an experienced, GPhC‑registered Pharmacy Technician to lead the Medicines Supply & Quality function. Based at Victoria Hospital with occasional duties at Queen Margaret Hospital, you will oversee purchasing, storage and distribution, including vaccine handling.

Key responsibilities

• Operational management of the Purchasing, Storage and Distribution (PSD) team.
• Develop and implement processes for safe and efficient medicines distribution.
• Manage stock levels, ordering, and inventory control across multiple sites.
• Ensure compliance with NHS standards and vaccine storage requirements.
• Support cross‑site collaboration between acute, community and mental health services.

Required profile

• GPhC‑registered Pharmacy Technician with proven post‑qualification experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with multidisciplinary teams.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
