Specialty Doctor – Palliative Care (Part‑time)

About the role

The Fife Specialist Palliative Care team is seeking a Specialty Doctor in Palliative Medicine to join a supportive multidisciplinary environment. The role is primarily based in the hospice inpatient unit with opportunities to work in community and acute hospital settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality palliative care to patients across hospice, community and acute settings.
• Participate in on‑call duties, covering a rota of 6 PAs plus 1.5 PA on call.
• Collaborate with consultants, associate specialists, SAS doctors and a broad multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of the Fife Specialist Palliative Care Service.

Required profile

• Fully qualified medical doctor with specialist training in Palliative Medicine.
• Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom (visa, settled or pre‑settled status, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience in hospice, community or acute palliative care settings.
• Commitment to teamwork, flexible working and continuous service development.
