Strategic Procurement Lead

About the role

As the Strategic Procurement Lead for ContourGlobal in Santiago, you will drive the sourcing and acquisition of goods and services supporting the company’s renewable energy portfolio across Chile and South America. Reporting to the Latam Procurement Manager, you will lead tender processes, negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to ensure cost‑effective, high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement for designated categories, ensuring compliance, quality and timely delivery.
• Lead competitive sourcing events and tenders, evaluate bids against technical, commercial and contractual criteria.
• Identify, assess and onboard new suppliers to diversify the supplier base and capture cost‑saving opportunities.
• Conduct complex commercial negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms and service levels.
• Monitor supplier performance, drive continuous improvement and manage contract administration.
• Prepare procurement documentation, reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory compliance reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic procurement or sourcing, preferably within the energy or renewable sector.
• Strong understanding of procurement best practices, tender management and supplier performance monitoring.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills with a focus on cost optimisation and risk mitigation.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is an advantage.
