Accounting Analyst – Closing and Reporting (Level 3)

About the role

Becton, Dickinson and Company, a global medical technology company, is hiring an Accounting Analyst for its Shared Service Center in Santiago, Chile. The role covers monthly closing, account reconciliations, financial reporting and support for internal audits and finance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate the monthly accounting close using local accounting systems and corporate consolidation tools.
• Carry out account reconciliations, analyze variances and follow up on corrective actions to control assets and liabilities.
• Produce financial and management reports monthly, quarterly and annually for Latin America and the corporation.
• Ensure reported financial statements are accurate and compliant with corporate policies.
• Provide information and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
• Support other finance areas and internal clients such as Tax, Treasury and Financial Planning.
• Identify process improvements and take part in automation, standardization and strengthening of internal controls.

Required profile

• Degree in General Accounting, Financial Administration, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3 to 4 years of experience in accounting, financial or budget analysis positions.
• Experience in month-end closing, reconciliations and financial reporting; 1 year in multinational or regional/global corporate environments is desirable.
• Intermediate to advanced English, including occasional meetings and written communication.
