Accounting and Tax Supervisor

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an Accounting and Tax Supervisor to lead statutory reporting and tax compliance across Argentina and Chile. You will work closely with finance teams, external consultants, and tax authorities to ensure accurate financial reporting and strategic tax guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local accounting and tax regulations in Argentina and Chile.
• Lead meetings with internal teams and external consultants to align tax strategies.
• Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and technical tax reports.
• Manage monthly closings, account reconciliations, and audit support.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the organization.
• Drive process improvements and lead finance projects in the South Latam region.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Tax, or a related field; CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of corporate income tax principles and international tax concepts.
• Experience preparing federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Proven ability to analyze complex tax data and identify optimization opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
