AI Center of Excellence (COE) Engineering Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AI leader to establish and run an AI Center of Excellence (COE). The Engineering Manager will define the enterprise AI strategy, set standards and governance, and ensure responsible, secure AI delivery at scale across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define the enterprise AI strategy, roadmap and operating model for the COE.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to align on AI standards, best practices and success metrics.
• Establish technology standards for AI development, deployment, monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Design governance frameworks covering token management, access provisioning, policy enforcement and responsible AI guardrails.
• Oversee evaluation and approval of AI tools, models and services to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Drive adoption of enterprise AI platforms such as AWS Bedrock, Microsoft Copilot Studio and Anthropic Claude.
• Partner with engineering, data science and security teams to design scalable, secure integrations.
• Create reusable patterns, reference architectures and technical guidelines for AI solutions.
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions to align stakeholders on governance, priorities and ROI.
• Develop adoption playbooks, training programs and communication plans to increase AI maturity.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience with the AI development lifecycle and governance.
• 1+ years leading AI technology management and enterprise AI programs.
• Strong leadership skills to align cross‑functional stakeholders and drive standards adoption.
• Enterprise governance experience covering access provisioning, policy enforcement and responsible AI guardrails.
• Excellent communication skills to advise executive leadership on AI risks, trends and opportunities.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1) and availability to work until 4 pm PST.
