AI Trainer – Biologist with Python Expertise (Remote, LATAM)

About the role

Kake is building a talent pool of biology professionals with strong Python skills to design and evaluate computational problems for frontier AI models. This remote, Latin‑America‑focused position lets you apply domain‑specific tools to challenge and improve cutting‑edge AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and select a computational biology package (e.g., NEURON, Brian2, OpenSim, AMICI, MNE‑Python) and design problems that require its core capabilities.
• Develop complete Python solutions, including input files, model definitions, and network configurations.
• Define numerical outputs and tolerance thresholds appropriate to the biological context.
• Run problems against AI models in parallel, analyze performance, and adjust difficulty to achieve a 10‑30% pass rate.
• Tune channel kinetics, stimulation protocols, and solver tolerances iteratively.
• Submit completed tasks to a senior reviewer for feedback and final approval.

Required profile

• Academic background in Biology or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in biology research, applied work, or teaching.
• Strong Python programming skills applied to computational solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced remote environment.
