Android Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a talented Android Software Engineer to join EPAM’s mobile engineering team. You will build, optimise and maintain native Android applications using a modern Kotlin‑based tech stack, delivering seamless experiences for users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance native Android apps with Kotlin.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive interfaces following Material Design.
• Integrate with backend micro‑services and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable and testable code and conduct code reviews.
• Develop unit and UI tests (JUnit, Espresso) to ensure stability.
• Profile and optimise app performance for speed, battery and memory.
• Assist in preparing and publishing updates to Google Play Store.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in native Android development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and deep knowledge of the Android SDK.
• Understanding of modern Android architecture components and patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture).
• Experience with Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger) and asynchronous programming (Coroutines, Flow).
• Familiarity with Android Studio, Gradle and Git.
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
