Android Software Engineer

About the role

EPAM is looking for a talented Android Software Engineer to join its mobile engineering team. You will own the development, optimisation and maintenance of native Android applications built on a modern Kotlin stack, working closely with product managers, designers and backend engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑performance native Android apps using Kotlin.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive interfaces that follow Material Design guidelines.
• Integrate apps with backend micro‑services and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable and testable code; participate in code reviews.
• Create unit and UI tests (JUnit, Espresso) to ensure stability.
• Monitor and improve app performance, battery usage and memory consumption.
• Assist in preparing and releasing updates to the Google Play Store.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience developing native Android applications.
• Strong command of Kotlin and deep knowledge of the Android SDK.
• Experience with modern Android architecture components (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture).
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum environments and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
