About the role

The Applications Development Manager leads a team of developers and analysts to design, build, and maintain application systems that support the technology strategy of a global financial institution. This intermediate‑level management position provides direction, coaching, and technical oversight to ensure high‑quality delivery of software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of Applications Development professionals, including performance evaluations, training, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
• Oversee technical issue escalation, prioritize resolutions, and ensure timely delivery of fixes.
• Provide technical oversight across multiple systems and applications, leveraging deep knowledge of development practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align application initiatives with business objectives.
• Contribute to budgeting, resource planning, and procedural development while negotiating with external partners when needed.
• Assess risk and enforce compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of relevant experience in software development and team leadership.
• Proven ability to own and make technical decisions on complex projects.
• Experience managing successful projects and delivering results in a regulated environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
