Auditor – Internal Audit (Latin America & Caribbean)

About the role

Mastercard is seeking an Auditor to join its Internal Audit team, focusing on the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region. The role involves providing senior management with insights on governance, risk management, and internal controls while collaborating with global colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in assurance and advisory projects across multiple markets, technologies, products, and services as defined in the annual audit plan.
• Perform risk‑based testing, document workpapers, and evaluate compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Assess the design adequacy and operating effectiveness of controls, identify gaps, and recommend improvement opportunities.
• Develop draft audit issues, validate findings with management, and understand associated risks, impacts, and root causes.
• Partner with risk and control functions to strengthen Mastercard’s three‑lines‑of‑defense model.

Required profile

• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail and a big‑picture perspective.
• Ability to understand and interpret business and regulatory requirements in the LAC region.
• Proven track record of collaborating within diverse, global teams.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to convey audit findings to senior management.
