Big Data Developer – Relocation to Spain

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Big Data Developer to join Talan’s Regulatory and Compliance Technology team in Spain. The role involves designing and implementing scalable data solutions that meet regulatory and business requirements, working in an Agile environment with cross‑functional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop end‑to‑end business applications across the full software lifecycle, from analysis and design to testing and deployment.
• Collaborate with users and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver strategic data solutions.
• Optimize code quality and security, including threat modeling, static analysis (SAST) and Sonar assessments.
• Plan and execute Agile sprints, manage ALM documentation, and provide incident support.
• Perform unit, integration and regression testing and manage release promotion and deployment processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Big Data Developer.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Java and/or JavaScript (object‑oriented programming).
• Database experience with Oracle (PL/SQL) and PostgreSQL.
• CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitHub Actions and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Amazon S3, Elasticsearch and Angular.
