Business Intelligence Engineer

About the role

Avicado is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to own and evolve its data and reporting infrastructure. You will stabilize existing dashboards, mature cloud pipelines, and enable leadership to make data‑driven decisions across operations, finance, talent, and sales.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Avicado's GCP environment (BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Storage) and collaborate with IT on security and access.
• Develop and maintain Python‑based ETL scripts that ingest data from platforms such as Toggl, Rippling, Xero, Salesforce, and other sources.
• Expand the data pipeline portfolio to include new data sources, improving reporting capabilities.
• Automate operational workflows, including data quality checks and scheduled exports.
• Manage version control using GitHub to ensure traceable infrastructure changes.
• Own the internal dashboard suite, translating business logic into reliable Tableau visualizations and adapting to future tooling.
