Carrier Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to lead carrier‑focused growth for China Mobile International in Chile. The role will concentrate on expanding International Voice wholesale and SMS A2P services, building strategic partnerships with telecom operators and wholesale providers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with telecom operators, international carriers, CPaaS providers, SMS aggregators and other wholesale partners.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in International Voice termination, SMS interconnection and messaging solutions.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, routing and traffic exchange to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Manage existing carrier accounts, monitor traffic performance and service quality, and collaborate with internal teams to optimise routing.
• Track industry trends, market dynamics and regulatory developments affecting the international wholesale telecom market.
• Represent the company at regional and international telecom events to expand the partner network.
• Coordinate with global carrier teams to uncover cross‑border opportunities and deliver integrated wholesale solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Business, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in international telecommunications, focusing on carrier wholesale, voice or SMS A2P.
• Established network with telecom operators, carriers, CPaaS providers or SMS aggregators.
• Strong understanding of international voice wholesale and SMS A2P business models, routing, pricing and commercial operations.
• Proven track record in business development, commercial negotiations and managing strategic carrier partnerships.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑management skills.
• Fluent Spanish (native) and business‑level English.
