Contracts Formation Specialist

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Contracts Formation Specialist to join its Mining & Metals team in Santiago. The role focuses on the formation and administration of sub‑contracts for small to medium‑size projects that support the production of critical minerals for clean‑energy technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and develop the scope of contract work, preparing plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, forecasts and budgets.
• Prepare commercial terms and conditions for project contract documents, ensuring alignment with prime‑contract requirements.
• Develop the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule and allocate responsibilities across the project team.
• Coordinate the contract execution plan with engineering and construction plans to enable seamless contract performance.
• Review evaluations with global business‑unit managers and manage low‑ to medium‑risk sub‑contracts.
• Provide functional direction and supervision to assigned sub‑contract personnel.

Required profile

• Experience in subcontract formation and administration within construction or mining projects.
• Strong understanding of contract compliance, bid package preparation and progress forecasting.
• Ability to communicate difficulties and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
