Corporate Procurement Specialist / Senior Specialist

About the role

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is seeking three motivated Corporate Procurement Specialists/Senior Specialists to lead procurement teams in Technology & Information Systems, Consulting Firms, and Construction Services. Based at the Washington, D.C. headquarters, you will coordinate the delivery of procurement services across the IDB Group.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate corporate procurement activities for goods, services, and consulting firms within the assigned specialization.
• Provide technical guidance and day‑to‑day supervision to team members, including task assignment, workload planning, and output review.
• Lead end‑to‑end procurement and contract management for complex or high‑risk cases, ensuring compliance with RFP processes, evaluations, negotiations, and contract administration.
• Review supplier analyses, cost evaluations, and non‑price criteria to support sound procurement decisions.
• Assess and mitigate procurement risks, including vendor and integrity risks.
• Manage procurement data collection, quality assurance, visualization, and strategic use to improve reporting and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Results‑driven, client‑oriented professional with strong supervisory and coordination experience.
• Subject‑matter expertise in procurement processes and contract management.
• Ability to ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery of procurement services.
• Experience assessing and managing procurement‑related risks.
