Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst

About the role

Group-IB is seeking a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to join its Cybercrime Research team. The analyst will focus on identifying and mitigating cyber threats that affect the LATAM region, working with both open‑source and dark‑web intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze IOCs and TTPs of threat actors relevant to the Latin America threat landscape.
• Craft, maintain, and document detection opportunities within the Threat Intelligence platform.
• Manage detailed information on threat actors, their tactics, techniques, procedures, and operational security.
• Correlate data and produce context‑rich alerts for customers.
• Research current threats and industry trends specific to LATAM.
• Develop detection content from threat hunts and ad‑hoc investigations.
• Create mitigation and countermeasure strategies based on collected intelligence.
• Apply the MITRE ATT&CK framework to map observed activities.

Required profile

• Strong passion for investigating and combating cybercrime.
• Deep interest in the LATAM cyber threat landscape.
• Knowledge of regional threats such as banking trojans, remote‑access trojans, ransomware, and fraudsters.
• Experience profiling threat actors and analyzing cybercrime communities.
• Comprehensive understanding of the dark‑web ecosystem.
