Director of Learning Strategy (Remote)

About the role

2 Hour Learning is seeking a visionary leader to shape and execute its academic strategy. You will translate learning‑science principles into operational systems that enable students to learn at double speed within two hours a day. This remote senior role combines strategic oversight, data‑driven assessment, and public advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop academic frameworks that operationalize learning science for curriculum design, motivation architecture, and application development.
• Conduct execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability, and consistent results across school teams.
• Analyze data, interview stakeholders, and observe classrooms to produce ecosystem assessments and recommend targeted interventions.
• Maintain strategic coherence through planning cycles, feedback mechanisms, and milestone oversight.
• Represent 2 Hour Learning in high‑stakes contexts, delivering keynotes and engaging with Ministries of Education to influence systemic reform.

Required profile

• Proven track record of articulating and owning a transformative academic vision with measurable outcomes.
• Direct leadership experience managing high‑performing teams, not just peripheral oversight.
• Deep, applied foundation in learning science demonstrated through built systems and public credibility.
• Ability to diagnose execution shortfalls and drive operational excellence.
• Strong external communication skills to serve as the authoritative voice for an evidence‑based learning movement.
