Financial Controls & Technical Accounting Manager

About the role

The Financial Controls & Technical Accounting Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s financial control environment while providing technical accounting leadership across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and sustain robust financial control frameworks and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Coordinate the external audit of financial statements as the primary internal owner.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit on SOX readiness workstreams and oversee implementation of related controls.
• Develop, deliver, and monitor training for key accounting and financial reporting controls.
• Act as a technical accounting partner to the Accounting team, supporting complex accounting issues, policy development, and judgment‑based analyses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Public Accounting or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in technical accounting, external audit, financial controls, or a combination thereof.
• Experience with SOX compliance is desirable.
