Financial Planning Accountant

About the role

The Financial Planning Accountant will actively support the finance team of the Chile Concentrate Plant, ensuring accurate monthly closing, financial reporting and compliance with internal policies and local regulations. The role focuses on OPEX, CAPEX and asset management, providing timely information for business planning and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end closing activities, validate journal entries and determine provisions.
• Prepare and upload OPEX reports to SAP, including detailed analysis of supplies, repairs, utilities, temporary staff, benefits, training and depreciation.
• Consolidate PL and OPCAP data in IPA and Hyperion, and generate monthly financial narratives.
• Produce semi‑annual capital spend reports and monthly Asset Under Construction updates.
• Coordinate asset technical close, depreciation validation and disposal processes with Platform Services‑GFO.
• Monitor fixed‑asset inventory, perform roll‑forward reconciliations and ensure compliance with TCCC policies.
• Support internal controls, business planning, and the preparation of Power BI dashboards for the Plant Communication Center.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Experience in financial reporting, month‑end closing and asset management within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with internal policies, local regulations and corporate finance procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and maintain accurate records.
