Full-time Faculty Position in Computer Engineering

About the role

The Department of Computer Engineering at the Universidad de Santiago de Chile seeks a full‑time faculty member to join its teaching and research team. The successful candidate will work on‑site in Santiago, contributing to undergraduate and graduate education while advancing research in cutting‑edge areas.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related subjects.
• Develop and supervise student theses and research projects.
• Conduct high‑quality research, publish in indexed journals, and secure research funding.
• Participate in departmental and university committees.
• Collaborate with national and international research networks.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or an equivalent discipline.
• Demonstrated university teaching experience.
• Relevant scientific publications indexed in WOS and/or SCOPUS.
• Active involvement in research projects.
• Ability to teach courses in Spanish within the first year (if not native Spanish speaker).
• Preference for candidates whose research focuses on Cybersecurity or Artificial Intelligence.
