Graduate Software Engineer I – 2026 (Hybrid, Santiago)

About the role

We are looking for a Graduate Software Engineer I to join Uber’s LATAM development centre in Santiago. This hybrid position welcomes recent graduates from Chile or those willing to relocate, offering the chance to work on products that impact Uber worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and platforms that support user‑facing products and internal tools.
• Write reliable, readable, and efficient code while conducting thorough code reviews.
• Create automated tests and documentation to ensure high quality.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, troubleshoot production incidents, and monitor system performance.
• Identify, triage, and resolve bugs and performance inefficiencies.

Required profile

• Recent bachelor’s degree (May 2025 – July 2026) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms and software engineering fundamentals.

Required skills

• Programming languages: C, C++, Java, Python, Golang.
• Experience with backend, full‑stack or frontend development (any).
