High School IB Math Teacher (Full‑time)

About the role

International School Nido de Aguilas seeks a dynamic, full‑time High School IB Math Teacher for the 2027‑2028 academic year. The successful candidate will deliver rigorous IB Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL) mathematics, as well as advanced Grade 9‑10 courses, fostering critical thinking and quantitative literacy.

Key responsibilities

• Teach five sections of high school mathematics, including IB SL, IB HL, and non‑IB courses.
• Develop and refine the math curriculum in collaboration with department colleagues, participating in weekly planning meetings.
• Serve as an advisor for a small group of 8‑12 students, providing academic and personal support.
• Contribute to the school community by advising a club or coaching an athletic team and participating in co‑curricular programs.
• Uphold and promote the school’s mission, vision, and core values within the classroom and broader community.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of high school teaching experience, with proven ability to teach IB Math HL.
• Experience with Common Core Standards and competency‑based or standards‑based learning is preferred.
• High proficiency in English and willingness to engage with Chilean culture and multicultural contexts.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and growth‑mindset orientation.
