HSSEQ Leader – Safety & Quality Management

About the role

Kapsch is seeking an experienced HSSEQ Leader to drive safety, quality and operational excellence across its Chilean operations. The role combines strong occupational health and safety expertise with responsibility for implementing and maintaining local HSSEQ processes and certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain OH&S policies, procedures and documentation in full legal compliance.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, defining preventive measures to ensure safe working conditions.
• Ensure compliance with HSSEQ standards, monitor KPIs, manage non‑conformities and drive corrective/preventive actions.
• Plan and execute internal and external audits, including ISO 9001, and conduct inspections and on‑site controls.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and deviations, implementing actions to strengthen prevention practices.
• Provide technical support to operations and projects on safety, quality and process matters.
• Identify training needs and promote a preventive, quality‑driven culture.
• Manage and continuously improve the integrated HSSEQ system, including documentation, audits, reviews and change management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a prevention role, preferably in ITS or similar industries.
• Demonstrated team‑leadership experience with a hands‑on approach.
• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Prevention Engineering meeting Chilean SUSESO requirements.
• Experience in planning, monitoring and resource management.
• Experience in internal auditing for ISO 9001.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
• Desirable: experience with ISO 45001, quality management and process improvement.
