Human Resources Intern

About the role

The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) is seeking a motivated Human Resources Intern to support its HR Section in Santiago. This six‑month hybrid internship offers exposure to UN‑level HR data management, reporting, and analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, compile, and organize HR‑related data from various sources.
• Review and validate data, identifying missing or inconsistent information.
• Maintain and update HR statistics databases and indicators.
• Prepare datasets, tables, and statistical summaries for periodic HR reports.
• Conduct basic analysis of HR data to highlight trends and patterns.
• Create and update charts, dashboards, and visualisations using Excel and Power BI.
• Assist in drafting newsletters and communication materials related to HR statistics.
• Organise analytical files and supporting documentation for data traceability.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief of the Human Resources Section.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or completed the final year of a bachelor’s degree, or a graduate programme.
• Studies in Administration, Human Resources, Data Analytics, Communication, or Advertising are desirable.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish; knowledge of French is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Power BI or similar data‑visualisation tools.
