IT Support Technician

About the role

Ria Money Transfer is seeking a motivated Level 1 IT Support Technician to join its IT team. You will be the first point of contact for end‑users, providing front‑line assistance to resolve hardware, software, and network issues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for hardware, software, and network problems.
• Receive, log, and track support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system.
• Assist users with password resets, account lockouts, software installations, and general IT inquiries.
• Perform basic hardware repairs, replace parts, and configure new equipment.
• Install, configure, and update software applications.
• Diagnose and resolve basic network connectivity issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of tickets, resolutions, and knowledge‑base articles.
• Deliver professional, empathetic customer service and collaborate with senior IT staff on escalated issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and customer‑service orientation.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA or Microsoft Certified Professional are a plus.
