Junior Python Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Python Developer to join our global team supporting major financial industry clients. You will help design, build, and maintain Python applications used for index calculation, reporting, and data processing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python applications for index calculation and reporting.
• Integrate Python solutions with internal systems and databases.
• Automate ETL (extract, transform, load) processes.
• Collaborate with quantitative analysts to implement index models.
• Optimize performance of large‑scale data processing and analytics tasks.
• Write clean, testable, well‑documented code following best practices.
• Support reporting requests from stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–1 years of professional Python development experience.
• Experience with data manipulation libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
• Familiarity with SQL and working with large datasets.
• Knowledge of version‑control systems, preferably Git.
• Strong testing and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
