Kitchen Helper (Marmitón) at Hotel Barceló

About the role

The Hotel Barceló Santiago is looking for a motivated Kitchen Helper (Marmitón) to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of its restaurant and kitchen areas. You will work closely with the culinary team to keep all equipment, utensils and workspaces spotless.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure proper cleaning of utensils, machinery and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen premises, stoves and related elements.
• Transport orders and other materials within the kitchen area.
• Carry out cleaning of tableware, dining room and kitchen surfaces.
• Use chemical detergents, disinfectants and rinse agents safely.
• Follow the company's safety and hygiene policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Medium‑level vocational training (Ciclo Formativo Grado Medio).
• Previous experience in a similar role is valued.
• No language requirement.
• Knowledge of the hospitality sector is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team, manage time, tolerate stress and solve unexpected issues.
• Meticulous approach to task execution.

• Operation of basic kitchen cleaning equipment.
