Operational Controller

About the role

As an Operational Controller you will ensure timely and accurate financial deliverables across monthly reporting, planning and forecasting cycles. You will translate controlling standards into everyday routines, maintain data integrity and drive continuous improvement within a collaborative corporate functions environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly reporting, planning and forecasting cycles, aligning outputs with central standards while meeting business‑specific needs.
• Implement harmonised processes and tools across the team to support consistency and agility.
• Oversee validation routines, plausibility checks and reconciliation processes to guarantee reliable financial data.
• Identify inefficiencies, initiate process enhancements and embed scalable best practices.
• Promote cross‑functional collaboration and knowledge sharing within the Controlling function.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Operational Controlling matters, engaging with stakeholders to align with business needs.
• Execute closing and control activities such as accrual validation, scrap bookings and purchase‑order approvals.
• Support adoption of digital finance tools, pilot predictive solutions and provide feedback to central functions.

Required profile

• Advanced English level (C1).
• 1‑3 years of experience in Controlling, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Hands‑on experience with monthly reporting, forecasting and planning cycles.
• Proven track record in process harmonisation and standardisation across business units or geographies.

Required skills

• SAP FI/CO and SAP BW (or equivalent ERP systems).
• Power BI.
• Alteryx.
• OGP (TM1) or similar planning/reporting tools.
