Pediatric Hospital Medicine Specialist - AI Clinical Evaluation

About the role

Gramian Consultancy, a boutique consultancy for IT professional services and engineering talent solutions, is looking for experienced Pediatric Hospitalists to support the training and evaluation of next-generation AI systems focused on inpatient pediatric care and clinical documentation. You will review medical records, structured FHIR data and clinical notes to check clinical accuracy, completeness and consistency, helping to identify documentation gaps and validate clinical claims. No prior AI experience is required.

Key responsibilities

• Review medical records, including FHIR data, structured clinical information and narrative notes, for AI training and evaluation.
• Verify that clinical claims and extracted information are supported by the source medical record.
• Evaluate pediatric inpatient documentation, including HPI, PMH, birth and developmental history, immunization status, assessments and treatment plans.
• Identify missing, inaccurate or inconsistent details, including age-appropriate considerations and weight-based medication dosing.
• Apply established review guidelines and documentation standards consistently.
• Provide clear, evidence-based feedback to improve AI model performance and clinical data quality.
• Document findings accurately and communicate review outcomes to the project team.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree.
• Board certification in Pediatrics, with Pediatric Hospital Medicine subspecialty certification where applicable.
• At least 5 years of hospitalist experience.
• Current or recent inpatient pediatric hospitalist experience within the past two years.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of pediatric inpatient workflows, including admissions, daily progress notes, transitions of care and discharge documentation.
• Ability to interpret clinical notes and structured medical record data.
• Clear written communication and the ability to explain clinical findings accurately.
