Presales Engineer – Military & Defense (LATAM)

About the role

Motorola Solutions is seeking a mid‑level Presales Engineer to lead mission‑critical presales projects for the Military & Defense sector across Latin America. You will work closely with Sales Managers and cross‑functional engineering teams to translate customer needs into robust technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full presales lifecycle for LATAM Military & Defense opportunities, coordinating with regional Sales Managers and technical teams.
• Lead cross‑functional groups to analyse requirements, design solution architectures, and ensure operational readiness under tight deadlines.
• Drive end‑to‑end bid preparation, including technical proposals, RFI/RFP responses, and system schematics.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and proof‑of‑concept validations for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of presales, technical engineering, or military signal communications experience.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, able to communicate complex technical concepts in both languages.

Required skills

• RFP/RFI management and technical proposal development.
• Ecosystem solution integration for wireless networks, command‑center feeds, and mission‑critical voice/data architectures.
• Experience with radio planning tools/software and protocols such as TETRA, ASTRO, P25.
• Strong cross‑functional leadership and consultative problem‑solving abilities.
