Principal Frontend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Principal Frontend Engineer to shape the user‑facing side of Xe’s cross‑border payments platform. You will work on a fast‑moving team, delivering high‑quality, maintainable web applications that serve SMEs and consumers in multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain frontend applications using Vue 3+ and TypeScript.
• Architect scalable, clean‑code solutions and enforce best‑practice standards.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and mentor developers on architecture and coding habits.
• Build responsive, accessible UI with Tailwind CSS, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Write unit and integration tests with Vitest (or Jest) and manage build pipelines using Vite.
• Collaborate with designers, product owners and engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Leverage AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or Copilot to improve productivity.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building production‑grade software.
• Strong clean‑code mindset and solid architectural knowledge of frontend systems.
• Proven ability to mentor and guide other developers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Vue 3+ (or strong experience with React/Angular and willingness to switch).
• TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Tailwind CSS, HTML5, CSS3.
• Vitest or Jest for testing.
• Vite, Rollup or Webpack build tools.
• Agile/Scrum development processes.
• AI coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
