Principal, Technical Architect - Enterprise AI Transformation

About the role

Salesforce is looking for a Principal Technical Architect to lead its most strategic architecture engagements with marquee customers at the intersection of AI, enterprise platforms and digital transformation. The role partners directly with CIOs, CTOs and Chief Architects at large enterprises to shape how the Salesforce Platform is implemented at enterprise scale, and helps build a global community of enterprise architects.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with CIOs, CTOs and Chief Architects at Fortune 1000 companies on enterprise transformation through AI and the Salesforce platform.
• Define scalable architectural patterns for end-to-end implementation of the Salesforce suite, including AI, Data Cloud, Industry Clouds and integration technologies.
• Lead architectural modernization, bridging legacy systems with cloud-native infrastructure and AI services.
• Champion trusted AI to transform workflows, automate decision-making and personalize experiences at scale.
• Build a global community of Salesforce architects across customers, system integrators and ISVs.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to influence the platform roadmap, and publish blueprints, transformation guides and reference models.
• Design and govern Agentforce architectures, including agentic workflow design, multi-agent orchestration and agent lifecycle management.
• Define AI governance frameworks covering model risk management, bias evaluation and ethical AI guardrails.
• Support pre-sales engagements and provide architectural governance and delivery oversight on complex implementations.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, platform strategy or technical advisory roles, focused on cloud transformation and AI integration.
• Deep expertise in Salesforce architecture at global scale, including Agentforce, Data Cloud, Einstein AI and Industry Clouds.
• Track record of engaging C-level executives at Fortune 1000 companies.
• Hands-on knowledge of AI/ML technologies, including predictive modeling, LLMs, automation and ethical AI.
• Strong understanding of data governance, integration patterns and multi-org/hybrid cloud architectures.
• Fluency in one or more industry verticals such as financial services, retail, manufacturing or healthcare.
• Preferred: consulting or advisory role at a system integrator, platform vendor or enterprise IT team; familiarity with TOGAF or SAFe.
