Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Intuition Machines builds enterprise security products using AI/ML, with a team distributed worldwide and known for its hCaptcha security suite. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer you will design engineering solutions for performance, availability, security and cost-effectiveness across the internet-scale system, spanning infrastructure, data and application layers. The position is fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Work with large-scale systems handling millions of requests per second and serving millions of users across multiple cloud providers.
• Build solutions that improve performance, availability, security and cost-effectiveness.
• Keep the platform running and fast, and ensure peer releases improve quality, security, uptime, speed-to-deliver, threat detection and customer engagement.
• Gather improvement ideas and priorities from customers and the internal community, use system metrics, and make decisions rapidly.

Required profile

• Minimum of six years of hands-on experience in related roles (engineering, DevOps, SRE).
• Background in software engineering with backend development expertise in Kubernetes-based systems.
• Strong programming skills in one or more of Python, JavaScript, Go, C++ or Rust.
• Hands-on experience developing and orchestrating in high-scale, high-uptime, high-reliability environments.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, including queue-first architectures and sharding.
• Demonstrated engineering expertise: gathering requirements, problem-solving and making recommendations.
• Preferred: familiarity with security frameworks, attack vectors, botnets and impact analysis.

Required skills

• Expertise in Kubernetes and in monitoring applications, infrastructure and networks.
• Networking, proxies and content delivery networks (Cloudflare).
• Multi-cloud experience including virtual networking, load balancing and web application firewall.
• Strong experience with CI/CD.
