Project Quality Engineer – Las Condes, Santiago

About the role

CATL Chile is looking for a Project Quality Engineer to manage all quality‑related activities for customer projects, support new product development, and drive continuous process improvement across the battery and energy storage portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Handle quality issues raised by customers, coordinate resolutions, and update the electronic management system promptly.
• Promote process quality improvement and support new product development to avoid quality problems and meet KPI targets.
• Conduct material sorting, failure analysis, and material characterization for customer sites.
• Support manufacturing with process and material improvements using FMEA, 8D, DOE, and other engineering tools.
• Develop and execute project quality assurance plans, identify quality risks, and manage quality problems.
• Participate in product development, industrialization, supplier quality, and logistics planning.
• Monitor process compliance, project progress, and acceptance of industrialized production lines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemistry, or a related engineering field.
• Background in quality and project management.
• Familiarity with the automotive industry and battery technologies.
