Risk Prevention Leader

About the role

Kapsch, a global technology leader in Intelligent Transportation Systems, is seeking a Risk Prevention Leader for its Chile operations. The role combines strong occupational health and safety expertise with responsibility for HSSEQ process implementation, local compliance, and team coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain OH&S policies, procedures and documentation in full legal compliance.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks to ensure safe working conditions.
• Ensure adherence to HSSEQ standards, drive continuous improvement through KPIs, non‑conformities and corrective actions.
• Plan and execute internal and external audits (including ISO 9001) and on‑site inspections.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and deviations, and implement preventive actions.
• Provide technical support to operations and projects on safety, quality and process matters.
• Identify training needs and promote a preventive, quality‑driven culture.
• Manage and continuously improve the integrated HSSEQ system, including documentation, audits, reviews and change management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a prevention role, preferably in ITS or similar industries.
• Demonstrated team‑leadership experience with a hands‑on approach.
• Bachelor’s degree in Prevention Engineering or related field.
• Experience in planning, monitoring and resource management.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• Experience with ISO 9001 internal auditing; ISO 45001 knowledge highly desirable.
