Security Manager – WCSA (Chile/Peru)

About the role

Maersk is seeking an experienced Security Manager to lead Area/Cluster Security and Business Continuity (S&BC) initiatives across Chile or Peru. The role will ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of risk awareness and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead security and business continuity work, aligning with customer S&BC requirements.
• Provide S&BC leadership to sites, local security teams, business leaders and key customers.
• Roll out standardised duty‑of‑care frameworks and monitor their effectiveness.
• Mentor and up‑skill cluster leaders on security and risk management.
• Conduct threat assessments, loss trend analysis and advise on risk mitigation.
• Implement and monitor Duty of Care programs, including travel e‑learning and high‑risk travel protocols.
• Oversee Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Plans and Crisis Management plans, ensuring testing and compliance.
• Update security performance dashboards for regional and HQ management.
• Support Illicit Cargo and Contraband initiatives in coordination with Special Operations.

Required profile

• 6+ years of security experience at country, area or global level.
• 4+ years of business continuity experience at similar scope.
• At least 3 years in a Security Manager role.
• Relevant education or certification in S&BC, risk management or crisis management.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with business partners.
• Proven leadership capability to drive top‑ and bottom‑line growth.
• Fluent English.
• Authorized to work in the hiring location (no relocation or visa support).
