Senior Data Scientist (Advanced Analytics)

About the role

SoftServe’s AI and Data Science Center of Excellence is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to design and deploy advanced machine‑learning solutions. You will work on time‑series forecasting, predictive modeling, optimization and dynamic scheduling projects that directly improve client operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop time‑series forecasting models using ARIMA, Prophet, gradient boosting, etc., for demand prediction and business planning.
• Build end‑to‑end ML pipelines for tabular data, covering ingestion, feature engineering, training, validation and cloud deployment.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational challenges into scalable forecasting, scheduling and optimization solutions.
• Develop mathematical optimization and dynamic scheduling models with OR‑Tools or PuLP to automate resource allocation.
• Apply statistical analysis and predictive modeling to uncover patterns in structured and temporal data.
• Establish model monitoring, retraining pipelines and performance evaluation frameworks for production reliability.
• Document methodologies, model performance and findings, communicating results to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research or a related field.
• Strong analytical background with solid knowledge of time‑series forecasting and mathematical optimization.
• Upper‑intermediate or higher proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Experience delivering production‑ready ML solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure).
