Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

Xe is rebuilding the platform layer behind cross‑border payments for corporate and consumer clients. As a senior full‑stack engineer you will own end‑to‑end problems, from API design and frontend experience to backend services, production reliability and launch.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own features that move money and manage multi‑currency balances across onboarding, KYC/KYB, payment initiation, FX, settlement and supporting services.
• Lead delivery of customer‑facing features, ensuring seamless experience from UI to backend.
• Own production health for your domain, including reliability, observability, on‑call duties and incident response.
• Drive cross‑functional delivery with product, design and compliance from problem framing through launch.
• Conduct design reviews, set technical direction and mentor mid‑level engineers.
• Use agentic coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code or equivalents) daily across the SDLC and modernise legacy services.

Required profile

• 6‑10+ years building production web applications end‑to‑end.
• Strong frontend proficiency with Vue.js, React or equivalent.
• Strong backend proficiency in C#/.NET (or Java, Kotlin, Go).
• Solid SQL and relational database fundamentals.
• Experience with AWS services (SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda) and CI/CD pipelines.
• System design experience with service‑oriented or micro‑services and event‑driven patterns.
• Payments, FX or regulated‑industry experience.
• Proven technical leadership: mentoring, design reviews and architecture decisions.
