Senior Security Engineer

About the role

Azumo is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to own the technical security posture of production AI systems. This fully remote role across Latin America focuses on hardening infrastructure, closing vulnerabilities, and building guardrails for AI‑driven workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls for cloud infrastructure, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, encryption, secrets management and logging.
• Lead vulnerability management, including scanning, penetration testing, threat modeling and remediation across client environments.
• Secure AI and agent systems against prompt‑injection, adversarial inputs and unsafe outputs.
• Monitor production AI systems for anomalies, abuse attempts and unsafe decisions.
• Own automated security, cost and architecture audits, defining checks, grading severity and improving accuracy.
• Drive incident response: detection, containment, root‑cause analysis and preventive changes.
• Engage with customers and partners on security questionnaires, vendor risk assessments and compliance inquiries.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on security engineering experience (infrastructure, application, DevSecOps or offensive security).
• Deep, current knowledge of the AWS ecosystem and production‑grade security practices.
• Proven track record of identifying and remediating vulnerabilities in live systems.
• Experience securing AI/LLM‑powered systems and handling prompt‑injection or adversarial attacks.
• Familiarity with SOC 2, PCI DSS and continuous compliance for financial/consumer data.
• Self‑directed prioritization and strong communication skills in English (C1+).
