Technical Leader Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Technical Leader Manager to drive the development and delivery of innovative technology solutions at Hitachi Energy. You will lead a high‑performing team of software engineers, architects, and data scientists, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage a team of technical professionals across software engineering, architecture and data science.
• Define technical roadmaps, architectural strategies and best practices for complex systems and products.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Drive innovation by researching new technologies and assessing their fit for Hitachi’s portfolio.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, security and performance of solutions.
• Collaborate with product and project management to translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Conduct technical reviews, code inspections and provide constructive feedback.
• Manage project timelines, resources and budgets to deliver on‑time and within budget.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, network control systems, EMS, GMS or SCADA.
• 3–5 years of experience in technical leadership or people‑management roles.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.

• Design, development and deployment of large‑scale, complex software solutions.
• Modern software architectures and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Programming languages: Java, Python, C++, Go.
