Senior Site Contract Specialist

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Site Contract Specialist to support its Clinical Research team. In this role you will lead contract and budget negotiations with investigative sites, ensuring efficient start‑up and execution of clinical trials while maintaining compliance and managing risk.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and finalize clinical trial agreements and investigator budgets in line with local regulations, company policies and client requirements.
• Lead grant and budget negotiations with investigators within approved parameters and escalation pathways.
• Ensure compliance with contractual processes, negotiation guidelines, approval requirements and client expectations.
• Identify, assess and escalate legal, financial and operational risks, providing recommendations and alternative solutions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align contractual activities with site activation timelines and study objectives.
• Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of contractual activities within company systems.
• Facilitate communication among study sites, sponsors, legal teams and operational stakeholders.
• Support continuous process‑improvement initiatives and promote best practices in contract management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience.
• Understanding of clinical research, site activation processes and contract management principles.
• Relevant experience in contract negotiation within the clinical research environment.
• Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail and ability to collaborate across multiple functions.
