Shelling Plant Manager

About the role

Ferrero is seeking a Shelling Plant Manager to lead the shelling plant operations in Chile. The role carries full accountability for production performance, continuous improvement, budget compliance, operational excellence and people development. You will ensure compliance with food safety, quality, environmental and health & safety standards while delivering results aligned with company objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all shelling plant operations to meet production, quality, safety and cost targets.
• Optimize labor, machinery, utilities and production methods for maximum efficiency.
• Drive SQCDME KPIs (Safety, Quality & Food Safety, Cost, Delivery, Motivation, Energy, Environment).
• Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, food safety and continuous improvement.
• Analyze operational trends and implement corrective actions to boost productivity.
• Plan workforce, develop talent and coordinate technical training initiatives.
• Manage resources required for production growth and operational continuity.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety requirements and corporate policies.
• Collaborate closely with Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, HR, Finance, IT and Procurement teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience leading manufacturing or production plants.
• Strong background in continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Experience managing large operational teams within industrial environments.
