Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

About the role

EPAM is seeking a proactive Site Reliability Engineer to bridge software development and operations. You will automate processes, scale infrastructure, and ensure high availability of production environments while supporting rapid, safe deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Create and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and configuration management.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
• Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
• Respond to production incidents, lead troubleshooting, and conduct blameless post‑mortems.
• Collaborate with developers to improve system performance and plan capacity.
• Ensure services scale to meet traffic spikes and growth.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in systems administration, DevOps, or related software development.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, Go, or Rust).
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix administration and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/SSL/TLS).
• Advanced English proficiency (C1+).
