Site Reliability Engineer – Telemetry

About the role

Join the Telemetry team to design, operate, and scale the shared observability platform that powers production services. You will work with metrics, logs, traces, alerts, dashboards, and profiling tools to keep the platform reliable and performant.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and improve the shared platform for metrics, logs, traces, alerting, dashboards, and profiling.
• Maintain metrics collection, long‑term storage, querying, dashboards, and alerts using Prometheus‑compatible systems, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana and modern alerting tools.
• Run log pipelines with Vector, Splunk and Loki, ensuring reliability and throughput.
• Manage distributed tracing and profiling using Grafana Alloy, Tempo, OpenTelemetry and Pyroscope.
• Deploy and manage telemetry services with Terraform, Terragrunt and container orchestration across multiple environments.
• Troubleshoot missing data, slow queries, broken alerts, pipeline backpressure and capacity issues.
• Build reusable configuration and automation for dashboards, alerts and telemetry integrations.
• Participate in incident response, on‑call duties, write runbooks and improve the platform based on incident learnings.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, Platform/Infrastructure Engineer, Observability Engineer or similar production role.
• Comfortable managing large‑scale production systems that collect, process, store and serve telemetry data (metrics, logs, traces, profiles).
• Experience with Prometheus or a Prometheus‑compatible monitoring stack, including metrics collection, querying and alerting.
