Spanish AI Trainer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a native or near‑native Spanish speaker to help train next‑generation AI models. Working remotely, you will evaluate and improve Spanish language data, ensuring high‑quality output for large language models.

Key responsibilities

• Spot‑check Spanish items, identify grammar, tone, register, accent, and factual issues, and provide feedback via Discord.
• Communicate updates on guidelines, project changes, and quality expectations to trainers and QA contributors.
• Answer questions on Spanish wording, cultural context, and differences between Latin American and European variants.
• Activate and monitor remote contributors, encouraging participation and tracking availability.
• Create and maintain project documentation such as style guides, FAQs, trackers, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
• Schedule and lead onboarding and training sessions for new contributors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Spanish, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, Education, Quality Assurance or related field.
• Native or near‑native Spanish proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
• Excellent English comprehension to follow guidelines and communicate with the team.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Spanish writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training or related language‑review workflows.
• Familiarity with both Latin American and European Spanish variants and ability to specify supported variant(s).
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable using remote collaboration tools.

Required skills

• Discord for real‑time communication.
• Google Sheets and Google Docs for tracking and documentation.
• Experience with AI training, data annotation, and rubric‑based quality evaluation.
